LAHORE, Pakistan — The opposition in the Punjab Assembly presented a no-confidence resolution against Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar on Monday in an attempt to depose him.
According to facts, a no-confidence motion against CM Usman Buzdar was filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz members of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) (PML-N).
The opposition has also requested that the Punjab Assembly session be called so that the no-trust resolution may be debated.
It’s worth noting that, under the legislation, the Chief Minister cannot dissolve the Punjab Assembly once the no-confidence motion is submitted.
Whereas the Speaker of the House is required to convene an Assembly session within 14 days following the filing of a resolution of no confidence in the government.
